| Even if the terms "whirlpool" or "spa" sound very modern the idea of
relaxation in hot water is in fact quite old. The
Romans and
Turks developed and enjoyed this kind of bath. Of course not every Roman or Turk had his own "spa". People came together in huge roman-baths. The
Japanese were the first to make the whole "procedure" personal and private.
Athletes in the antique let their bodies and muscles be
treated and massaged in hot
water. It was not until the 1960s when american soldiers returning from the pacific islands to the U.S. constructed wood (later metal) barrels with water pumps that put the water in motion.
The whirlpool was born.
An american called
"Jacuzzi" was the first to build plastic tubs with water pumps. Still today the term "Jacuzzi" is used as a synonym for "whirlpool" or "spa". Today, high-tech is used to maximize the wealth and relaxation effect of a whirlpool. Specially isolated and designed "acryl-seats" make sure that anyone can
comfortably sit and enjoy himself in a spa. Special jets
massage the entire
body. This effect is also being used for
rehabilitation and for
physical
stress-relief.
Taking a whirlpool-bath outside in fresh air has the same effect as using a sauna.
It strengthens the resistance.
After a stressful day at work a whirlpool-bath relaxes the entire body and soul.
Open your spa. Take a seat and enjoy 36-38 degree Celsius warm and clear water and a deep massage of your entire body.
A whirlpool is fun and wellness for everyone. Alone, together with your partner, friends or the entire family. Anytime of the year.
